Default ASTRO: NGC 4395 - ngc 4395-lrgb-0327-22.jpg (0/1)

A late stage Seyfert 1 galaxy (and the closest) with the least
luminous AGN. Surface brightness is Mag 15, red shift distance is 14
Mly, size 12' x 10', dust extinction is mag. 0.0172, classification
is SBM. The three bright lobes each have an NGC number, starting at
lower center and moving counter clockwise is NGC 4401, NGC 4400 and
NGC 4399 (at the 2 O'clock position).

The AGN is estimated to be ~10^5 Msun making it one of the smallest
AGNs known. (Iwasawa, et.al., 2010).
