Big Planetarium for Mobile/Cell Phones
We are two astronomic interested Software Developers and just finished
version 1.0 of the freeware Planetarium MicroSky/SkyServer. It would please us, when interested people try it and if possible give us a feedback. MicroSky is a freeware planetarium for mobile phones/cell phones with Java support and a connection to the Internet (preferably GPRS or UMTS ). It is a J2ME-Midlet client/server application which can display 300.000 stars, 8000 deep sky objects, the constellations, the planets, the local horizon, and registered comets. The various settings for the displayed night sky can be changed for your individual needs. The GPRS connection to the server enables this powerful midlet to be as small as 20 kb and run on low profile devices. Please refer to MicroSky Homepage http://www.upto.org/microsky for manual and OTA installion. Thanks for any response and feedback Sabine & Ritchie |
