What's better is that MOST OF THEM ARE LEGAL! Okay, fine; show me where I can get a full, non-beta, non-time-limited version of, say, Win2K3 free and legally. One that does *everything* that the full retail package does and doesn't include any additional limits or restrictions that the full retail package doesn't have. Note that I'm in Canada. Note that while, say, a site in the Philippines or China or some such may be able to deliver such things legally within the bounds of their country, it is unclear whether my downloading the item to my machine, here in Canada, involves an illegal action - so you'll also have to provide the court-tested legal foundation demonstrating that doing this is, in fact, legal. I note a lot of newsgroup posts that say "This is legal! It's not a scam, it's a mailing list business". Their mere assurance it is legal doesn't make it so. |
