New Toy and Friendly Reminder
First, for your calculating pleasure, we have just uploaded a Newtonian
Diagonal Calculator to our website. As my dear partner (and the husband who better remember what Monday is!) says: "For those interested in Newtonian diagonal math, I've updated my free Newt. diagonal calculator program. It now includes illumination falloff calculations for off axis fields. It's still a little sparse on documentation but it's pretty self explanatory." It is a free tool to download. (Take a look and let me know if it is buggy!) www.wodenoptics.com Okay, speaking of bugs reminds me of flowers! I will give those gentlemen who are attached a fighting chance by reminding them..... MONDAY IS VALENTINE'S DAY! Remember... Flowers for Her = Optics for You ....Or chocolate works well... or jewelry..... or her own scope.... Heck!... Optics for Her = Optics for You! (That works for me!) Dawn Baird-Chleborad www.wodenoptics.com www.astronerds.com |

Sarcasm Box: On
Yeah, right. Let's buy off those unsuspecting women with flowers, chocolates, and jewelry. They're so shallow that they'll never notice the difference and will be softened up and allow the family's hard-earned money to be spent on a bunch of unneeded, space-taking up, hi-tech equipment. All it takes is a few minutes purchase and a cheap card, and a few sentences of romantic nothings and all those TeleVue goodies you've been lusting after can be yours. We all know that romance and Feb. 14 are designed only for women, so "guys" shower the "gals" in your life with tawdry, commercial products that you've put so much thought and "love" into. What a great investment... $10 on a heart-shaped box of candies and you'll be permitted to spend $3,000 on the latest gear. And she'll never be the wiser. Starmaster, won't you be my Valentine? Sarcasm Box: Off In the end, Dawn's right, of course. Instead of the artifice and hypocritical gift-giving, buy the scope together and observe together and you'll live happily ever in a real romance!
