The ESC-A upper stage is readied for launch

The Ariane 5's powerful ESC-A upper stage has been a focus of attention
during the past several days as Flight 164's heavy-lift launcher is prepared
for its February 11 liftoff. The photos below show activity inside the
Spaceport's Final Assembly Building as the ESC-A upper stage undergoes
checkout by mission team members.
