Default Report: Fireball... Southern Ontario 6:20 PM EST

Last night from my front porch in Grimsby, ON Canada I saw a fireball streak
under the Moon moving from the South to the South East at about 6:20 PM EST,
anyone else catch this?

You might be able to check with the info collected with one of the sentinal
cameras in your area.

There's a sentinal camera located not far from you, (on the roof of McMaster
university), and there's a good chance it recorded the fireball if it was
bright enough.

I just checked for you...

"Hi Bob,

Nope - we didn't trigger on that one. A trigger on a plane not too many
minutes later showed that it was cloudy in that direction but clearing
off."

Not at that time, but I saw a different fireball at 11:27 pm EST (+/-
2 min). When I noticed it, it was just to the north of Gemini and
travelled east for about 20 degrees before fading. My location is just
northeast of Indianapolis, IN (app. 39.94 deg lat. and -86.06 deg
long.)

We saw an orange fireball about that same time and description. Okay, I am a
bit ticked because it was actually my husband, Cary, that saw it. One of
Cary's ATM students just finished his scope last night and we were taking it
out for first light, looking at the moon. I had my eye to the eyepiece and
was looking at the moon when I heard Cary exclaim and looked up too late.
