I can see how this might happen but you make it sound like the folks
over at SV were devils incarnate for pricing, say, an AT1010 higher
than similar ones like the ST80. The AT1010 is in general better than
the ST80 so of course it's going to cost more.

This scope (80mm Orion APO) is very dangerous for SV from business
perspectives.
IMHO.

"Humble" opinion? I don't think there's anything humble about it! If
the new Orion does indeed become a strong competitor to scopes of it's
type then telescope buyers will benefit. Why can't you just approach
things from this angle instead of just always emphasizing how much the
hated SV company will be harmed?

I have not seen anyone else state that they hate SV.
They may like or dislike their products. They may or may
