Default Use of Meade variable camera adapter

Hi,

I want to purchase a Meade Variable Project Camera Adapter (07361) to
use with my Meade 2000 refracting telescope and Powershot G3 digital
camera. My question is, when I set these up together, is the eyepiece
also a part of the setup? Can I get a greater level of detail by
combining the Camera Adapter and a high power eyepiece (say 6 mm)?

Thanks,
- Sanjiv
