Default Is cleaning a diagonal done the same as cleaning a lens?

I have cleaned my eyepieces with q-tips and alcohol. Can I clean the
diagonals
the same way? I have the standard Orion diagonal that came with my Orion
StarMax 127mm.

If it's a glass prism, yes. If it's a first-surface mirror, it's much more
delicate.
