M106 - A Spiral Galaxy in Canes Venatici M106 or NGC 4258 is a Sb type spiral galaxy seen from a distance of about 25 million light years. In the top-right corner of this image the magnitude 13 galaxy NGC 4248 can alos be seen. M106 was not part of Messier's original catalogue.
