So,, which is it?
Hmm, wiki is going with the 1,200.

"(CNN) -- Our everyday concerns -- seem small when we consider that
there's a whole universe out there where other life may exist.
Astronomers now are upping that likelihood, announcing that they've
identified
a star system with up to seven planets -- three of which could potentially
host life -- 22 light-years away."

or

"This illustration depicts Kepler-62e, a planet in the habitable zone of a
star smaller and cooler than the sun. It is located about 1,200 light-years
from Earth in the constellation Lyra."

They of any authority are too busy supporting our proxy wars and keeping our oligarch Bilderbergs as happy campers. Therefore, those ETs will have to come to us, because there's no possible way any other species of intelligent life out there can be 1% as dumb and dumber than us humans.

However, why would any truly intelligent species knowingly risk being contaminated by Earth?
