Default Intro & Question

Hello to one and all! I'm new here and looking to share wisdom, stupidity, and experiences, with like-minded folks who love the night sky. Based in Warwickshire, I've been observing for around 8 years and have just joined my local astronomical society.

My question is whether anyone uses a laser collimator? I've always collimated my Newts by judgement, which has been good enough to get identical images above and below focus, so I wonder if it's worth buying a laser unit? Do they make it easier or noticably more accurate?

Many thanks in advance, and clear skies to you all!
