Default Defying Gravity Decides - It's Delta IV

Anyone else notice this? Not even the heavy version.
At the comment my wife rolls her eyes while we're watching
this and gives me the Vulcan salute (best she can anyways).

As for Orion, they must have thrown something out to get the
weight down. LAS maybe? Looked that way to me.

Dave

PS: Truly a space opera. This is going to be another Lost -
in space. Whoa, Lost In Space? A concept! Yeah!

Truly disappointed that Jennifer Anniston didn't make
the cut even if her Office Space boyfriend did. Wonder why?
Ooh I know! She's loogie impaired!

Whatever this crew does, don't ever let him [Donner]
have the cordless drill. Donner. What a name for an
astronaut. Hope the food holds out.

If this pilot is run by Beta, whatever happened to the pilot
that was run by Alpha? And what is Beta? My bet's on something
that looks like a slightly melted red stapler!

I've got a still of the two left stranded on Mars, think it
might make a good avatar. The expression on the woman astro-
naut's face is priceless, with the rocket firing of the
Mars lander ascent engine reflecting off their visors.
Nicely done. That women's expression of hopelessness, betrayal
and disbelief! The only way I think it could be duplicated
would be by Rachel once Pat was revealed as her blind date!
;-)

Hey there goin' to Venus! In a traveling habitat! We leave
out any discussion of the politically incorrect power source
for now...

Yeah you're right! They must have *really* shaved some weight.
Must have been that nano-tech thingy again....

I haven't watched this yet, but I've got recorded on VHS. My stupid DVD
recorder isn't accepting my blank DVD+R's for some reason. :-P

Sounds to me like you have an MPAA approved 'recorder' there.
Fix it and Jack Valenti will send you a love letter from beyond
the grave.

I have it recorded in HiDef on my PVR (even tho' rest of my system
is LoDef). Problem is PVR is cablecos and will only let me copy
to VHS tape! Yuck. I need to invest in a mythTV setup or get a
BlueRay recorder if there is such a thing.

One wit or a one wit critic, whatever, has entitled this one:
'Lust in Space', which is pretty accurate. All male crew members
must submit to a pre-flight vasectomy. I guess they didn't have
enough fuel to take along 6 years worth of birth control pills.

Reality is, if married life is any example, they'd probably only
need 1-2 years worth! ;-) We'll also see how long it takes the
guys to learn to leave the seat down... (Yeah I know, nerd-folk,
but remember I'm talking about the part of the Antares that uses
artificial G**)

Mr. Wit, apparently wanting to show off his scientific savvy,
already faults the show for having instantaneous ground to Earth
communication, when in fact it looks like Antares is just barely
beyond GEO distance. C'mon gimme a break and give the writers a
little credit here. So far they're doin' fine and Mr. Wit can take
a light-second leap!

Dave

**Don't know the G being provided, probably 1G, but we'll see.
Anyone got the parabolic formula for how far one would need to
stand back from the bowl for say .5 G? This will be important
to the female crew members. I can see an episode with footprints
laid down on the floor. :-)

Or perhaps his son John will send one on his father's behalf But
I'm not sure he followed *that* closely in his father's footsteps.

Lust in Space is right.

They better start dialing it back and offer more of a show or this
viewer will be watching Star Trek reruns.

Absolutely! Why is it they must ruin good sci-fi with
gratuitous sexual innuendos? Thank goodness Star Trek remains
pure and wholesome! For reruns you might particularly
enjoy, might I suggest:

Plato's Stepchildren
Mirror, Mirror
The Gamesters of Triskelion
Elaan of Troyius
I, Mudd
Mudd's Women

-and of course-

Amok Time

And from TNG almost any scene featuring Tasha Yar alone
with 'Mr.' Data....

;-)

I still like when Riker was banging the thing that was neither male nor
female.
Riker was such a horndog that I'll bet they caught him having at a
knothole in a wooden plank from time to time.
Tribbles of course go without saying. :-D
