Pam Melroy retiring from NASA
Space.com is reporting that Col. Pam Melroy (USAF, ret), is leaving NASA to
take a job with Lockheed-Martin. She'll be joining their Orion CEV team. With the shuttle rundown, another shuttle command wasn't likely, so she heads over to private industry (and a fatter paycheck, too). Too bad: when the Orion flight test begins, she would've been a contender to command one of the Orion test flights to ISS. |

Available flight seats are getting low in number. |
