Default "Houston, we've got a problem"

"Houston, we've got a problem" - so quoted Kerry in Texas -
comparing the nation under the Bush presidency to the Apollo 13
mission. The comparison has merit: in both cases, in response to
desperate challenges, daring decisions have been taken.
To complete the comparison: Apollo 13 pulled through.
So have the USA and the world - so far.
