Default flu # A can Effect your Eye Sight ??

Flu killed an 18 year old boy in Worster Ma Chances are the old
flu shots are not effective for type "A" flu. What to do?. Don't go to
movies. Keep your children out of school.Dress very warm if working
outside, especially if its windy. Put a tee shirt on,and wear
cotton pajamas. If you have a chill going to bed take two
aspirins, and hot chicken soup. If you wake up and vomit go as fast as
you can to the hospital. If you have a 101 fever in the morning go to
the hospital, and dress warm. Our bodies use one third of its energy
keeping our temperature at 98.6 When we lose body heat are resistance
can come down. It might fool you and you think you have just a cold.Wear
a face mask, and carry lots of tissues Bert

Well... unless you ate 3 chile rellenos with extra hot sauce. for dinner...
then you can just take a Pepcid and go back to sleep.

P.S. Bert... that would be AFFECT... Flu has no ability to bring about
eyesight.

Although aspirin can be avoided, i think danger is probably over stated...
In fact, flu shot probably is much more dangers. What I suspect is general
consiracy to stir people away from unpatented effictive pain reliever to
more expensive alternatives. Chances are "aspirin" is dangers and
alternative drugs are better message last life time to lots people.

"Do Not Give Aspirin To a Child or Teenager Who Has the Flu
Never give aspirin to children or teenagers who have flu-like symptoms
- and particularly fever - without first speaking to your doctor.
Giving aspirin to children and teenagers who have influenza can cause
a rare but serious illness called Reye syndrome. Children or teenagers
with the flu should get plenty of rest, drink lots of liquids, and
take medicines that contain no aspirin to relieve symptoms."

I see you have never had the chance to see what happens when someone gives
aspirin or a product containing aspirin-like salicylates to a child with
certain symptoms and ends up with Reyes Syndrome. *I have*. Its *not* pretty
and the effects can be permanent (brain damage, liver damage, or even death).
It does not always happen, but it happens enough to heed the warning (see
http://www.reyessyndrome.org/aspirin.htm). The advice given was *sound*. To
repeat:

"Do Not Give Aspirin To a Child or Teenager Who Has the Flu
Never give aspirin to children or teenagers who have flu-like symptoms
- and particularly fever - without first speaking to your doctor.

I used "effecting eye sight" to make you read the post heading. Like
yelling "fire" to get your attention. They do make baby aspirin. I see
Jon S is ready to give me the business(A Fool) My main point is if
an 18 year old dies so fast, let his death be a warning, and don't just
hope that you can lay in bed and you will live through it. I would like
to think this 18 year old boy did not die in vain. He was showing us
what this flu can do. Bert

Yeah, this year's flu looks pretty rough.

One of the worst problems is that our public health folks guessed wrong
(tough call -- not really their fault), and this year's flu vaccine is not a
good match with the strain that's been spreading throughout the USA. That
puts a lot of our elderly in jeopardy.

Then we ran out of vaccine. Then we found more overseas (but I think that
it, too, is more of the wrong immunizer).

The media has everyone in a near panic mode over the flu. Just look at
the amount of people trying to get vaccinated. Sure, this year will be
worse than usual, but the flu kills tens of thousands of people each
year in the States.

Chris It is better to be safe than died. Over two million people in
France came down with the flu. Planes can spread it to every corner of
the world. Being air-born means it can infect the lungs. Being air-born
sees to it that it can spread very fast. Bert
