TEXAS STUDENTS TALK WITH SPACE STATION CREW

Students and teachers from Alvin, Clear Creek,
Friendswood, Galena Park, Galveston and Pasadena Independent
School Districts in Texas will gather at Space Center Houston
to talk with the crew of the International Space Station
tomorrow.

The 20-minute downlink with the crew begins at 11:15 a.m.
EST. The downlink will be carried live on NASA TV. Media may
also attend the session. For access contact the Johnson Space
Center newsroom at: 281/483-5111. NASA TV is available on
AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85 degrees west
longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is
vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz.

The event is the result of a partnership between NASA's
Teaching from Space Program Office; Space Center Houston; San
Jacinto College Aerospace Academy for Engineering and Teacher
Education; and SpaceTEC, a National Science Foundation
Advanced Technology Education project.

The event is part of a series of space-to-Earth conversations
with educational organizations in the U.S. and abroad.
Downlink events are a component of NASA's Teaching from Space
Program, which promotes educational opportunities that use
the unique environment of human spaceflight. The program
builds partnerships with the education community to create
unique learning opportunities through the use of NASA
research and educational technology. For information about
