Trying again: Anybody match the DIMES pics with the landing ellipse
I looked at it once. But there's not much there to match up.
Jon "Hagar" wrote in message ... Never mind. The latest DIMES/MOC composite confirms my earlier guess. http://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/galle...tunity/2004012 8b/mer_b_moc_dimes.jpg ------ Is nobody else trying to beat NASA to the punch? I'm not trying to figure out where in the DIMES image the lander is, but where in the landing ellipse the DIMES image is located... I got a candidate on the MER_B_Ellipse10m.gif, but unfortunately the big crater candidate is in a low resolution path (the one furthest to the east), and the whole thing seems to be a bit far to the east.
