Just looking for a NexStar RS232 cable to try out with my new scope and
bumped into this outrageous bit of over pricing

£38.00 from the Widescreen Centre, UK

$15.95 (about £10) mail order Adorama New York

I know telescopes may not produce much profit for vendors, but the bits and
pieces sure do judging by this.

Time to invest in a soldering iron :-)
You can get all the bits for virtually any lead from Maplins.

But I'm as thick as two short planks about wiring. I'll get my brother on
to it.

Don't listen to Chris, Richard. More high value damage can be done
with a soldering iron than any other readily obtainable weapon of mass
destruction. Guaranteed ready for action in less than 45 minutes too.

Cheers

Rubbish. This astronomy hobby has done more high value damage to my
bank account than anything else I can think of. (well, almost).

ChrisH.
