Default OT- Osama bin Laden is dead!

Reports now that his body was buried at sea. I hope that doesn't turn
around and bite us later.

It would be really ironic if such a well-executed raid (achieved goal
with minimal casualties, no personnel loses and intelligence gained)
suffers because someone didn't think to take good photos or check
dental records.

I don't know what Islamic Law concerning bodies is, but I was really
hoping that a decent autopsy would be performed.

Well, that's very Christian of you. I hope that you are more

I'm not religious at all, but I'm consistent about that ;-)

I'm sure an autopsy was performed - not a difficult task. Also, his ID
was confirmed using DNA.

The reason for the burial at see, according to the news, was that it
would have been difficult to find a country that was willing to bury him
(the low-life, stinking mass murdering scumbag).

I believe Islam requires a Muslim to be buried within 24 hours of death,
if at all possible. If the U.S. didn't follow this 'law', it would have
been much worse for all of us, not just Americans.

As for proof, I feel (and fear) there will be some who will simply
refuse to believe he (the low-live stinking mass murdering scumbag that
he was) is really dead, regardless of proof.

I also feel (and, again, fear) that this will lead to retaliatory
strikes by the other criminals that Bin Laden was associated with. And
that will be even worse for all of us.

Having said that, to any Al Qaeda members or sympathisers who may read
this: COME GET US, YOU *******S! I'm not normally a person of violence,
but they get everything they deserve.

We now return you to ab-normal programming.

I can perfectly agree with you and still find celebrating the death of
an enemy disgusting and disconcerting.

I wholeheartedly agree. I would not celebrate his death. Today I'd go and
put flowers on the graves of his victims. May they rest in peace, they are missed.

Excellent news today; the compound had a room stuffed with computers,
and the SEALs took all the hard drives out of those computers and left
with them.

Plus large numbers of CD-ROMs and DVDs.

Pakistan has some serious 'splaining to do to the world community, and
they'd better do it fast because it is now abundantly clear that
they've sided with the terrorists.

Its probably time to give up on them and tell India to do with them
what they will. We won't interfere.

Congratulations to the SEALS and President Obama.

I wouldn't be surprised if NYC proclaims some sort of city-wide holiday
and celebration.

As much as I'm relieved to see him dealt with, personally I find the
thought of people celebrating the death of an enemy just disgusting.

I don't see Osama bin Laden as a man, whatever he became from years of
twisted hatred, he wasn't human anymore. Bin Laden was a cancer on
civilization and we do and should celebrate the removal of that
cancer. Its time we stopped pretending that everybody is basically
good and just misunderstood. Osama Bin Laden was pure evil. He made
his choices in life, threw away all humanity and embraced pure hatred.
Now he will forever roast in Hell. Good riddance to him, and God
Bless the CIA and the Joint Special Operations Command.
