Default ground-based matching Hubble power

Where are some of the ground-based telescope complexes that are beginning to
match Hubble's resolution and light gathering, especially in the visible
bands? Non-space astronomy has been making major advances in the past twenty
years, diminishing Hubble's early advantage -- exactly where is that
happening?

Besides Keck in Hawaii, there's Paranal in Chile.
