VETERAN SPACE STATION CREW AVAILABLE FOR NASA TV INTERVIEWS

NASA astronauts Ken Bowersox and Don Pettit, the
Expedition 6 crew who returned from the International Space
Station aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft in May, are
available to discuss their experience live on NASA TV on
Oct. 27.

Bowersox and Pettit are available for morning and afternoon
live interviews via the NASA TV satellite. The Expedition 7
crew is scheduled to return to Earth on Monday in a Soyuz
spacecraft. The crew, Commander Yuri Malenchenko and NASA
Station Science Officer Ed Lu, is scheduled to land in
Kazakhstan at 9:36 p.m. EST Oct. 27, accompanied by European
Space Agency astronaut, Spaniard Pedro Duque.

Bowersox, Pettit, and cosmonaut Nikolai Budarin, spent six
months on the Station. Due to a computer error, their Soyuz
craft landed safely but several hundred miles from their
prime target zone. It took searchers several hours to reach
the crew.

For more information and to arrange an interview with
Bowersox and Pettit, contact the Johnson Space Center
newsroom at: 281/483-5111 no later than 6 p.m. EDT Friday.

NASA TV is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band,
located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is
3880.0 MHz, polarization is vertical and audio is monaural
at 6.80 MHz.
