I know a few guys that can't talk much about their previous work. One of
them tells stories about designing titanium fittings that ended up being
machined by a Russian guy in Chicago, because he was the only one in the US
with the skills necessary to do the intricate machining required for these
fittings.

Of course, I don't have any idea what the fittings were used on, since he
can't talk about what they were used for. Plus I have no idea what the
fittings even looked like, since he can't talk about that either. ;-)

At Space Access, Chuck Lauer of Rocketplane Kistler (formerly Rocketplane,
formerly Pioneer Rocketplane) said that the joke around their office is:
"Dave Urie has designed 37 different hypersonic vehicles, only three of
which he can talk about." Urie is their program manager, and was formerly
with the Lockheed Skunk Works.
