Yo AA,
The Alcubierre Drive idea has been posted here before. See- www.npl.washington.edu/AV/altvw81.html And also an analogous submarine 'warp drive' technology developed by the Russians. See- http://www.diodon349.com/Kursk-Memor...underwater.htm Notice that the space-warp propositions are inevitably rooted in the VSP (void-space paradigm) and so what's being warped is "metrics" and equations. 'Darla' is still off to Saturn as far as understanding the *literal* nature of space and the mechanism of gravity, so she's gotta ride those capricious 'gas streams'. Gotta get her a new tub with bigger sails. oc |

This is a thought experiment for Miss Poo. She's been appointed to do
gravitational-wave research, and is assignd to a station on an asteroid out in deep space, far away from terrestrial noise sources. Her GW antenna is a huge, specialized microphone, with some auxilliary detectors for picking up any non-longitudinal GW components. This is because some guy named Zinni has been hollering that GWs are non-longitudinal. Meanwhile, senior Alcubierre has got his brand new Warp Drive fitted into a ship christened El Gran Torpedo. Ths ship has passed its sub-light checkout runs, and is preparing for its first shakedown run in full hyperdrive. It has been theorized that a ship enclosed in a warp node moving superluminally thru 'our' space will generate a tidal displacement and trail a GW wake exactly analogous to the sonic boom wake trailed by a supersonic jet. So Darla has her big microphone and recording gear all set up. And the countdown begins. And right on schedule comes the KA-BOOOM, the starfield flickers blue-red and settles back to normal as the compression-rarefaction wave passes over, recording the unseen ship's passage. Miss Poo looks at her recording graphs, and alas, the wave was entirely longitudinal, just as expected. For verification, El Gran Torpedo turns around and makes a second run past the station, and the results are same as the first. And the wave is longitudinal. So Darla is finally convinced she oughta see senior Alcubierre about getting a decent Drive for her decrepit old buggy. And Johnny keeps stamping his widdo feet, yelping no, no, no, GWs are non-longitudinal, and GWs are the same thing as gravity. ****** |

BS, you just keep getting a little weirder with each passing day.

oc I have posted Darla's space ship accelerated motion works by
compressing electrons. Her spaceship outer structure(skin) is made of interlocking bucky balls. It is in their hollow shell that electrons are compressed. In reality the ship skin is its propulsion. No sails needed NASA needs sails to make use of its hot air. Bert |

Bert I am tempted to state that you seem to talk a lot of balls here.
