Default Online courses - Lawnchair Astronomer/Dr.Love/Amateur Astronomy

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie here and I am wondering if any of you can give me comments on
these 3 online courses.

Lawnchair Astronomer ($47.50)
http://members.aol.com/thestarman/course.html

Dr. Jamie Love - Principles of Astronomy ($30.00)
http://www.synapses.co.uk/astro/astro.html

Amateur Astronomy Foundation (free... I think)
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~swadhwa/aaf.html

thanks in advance

I'd start with the free one myself.

Thanks,

Because it's free or because it's better?

PMFJI .. but between all the forums and newsgroups, I'm not sure you
need a course. And if you do, cost is not a measure of value in this area.

Try the free course first. Plus see if you can find a class at a local
school. On-line courses are probably a chancy thing, unless you can get
references from the offeror re who has taken the class.

My bro in law did the Dr.love course and enjoyed it. Lots of feedback and
general interest. He may comment later.

After reading as much as I could about the courses and going through the
first few lessons of the free one I decided, "you get what you pay for"
and went for the Dr.Love course.
