Proof of Astrology
Pluto isn't even a planet anymore, you moron! So much for proof!
Saul Levy On 22 Dec 2006 22:12:40 -0800, "William Blake Jr." wrote: The proof of astrology is the generations, as determined by the generational significator (Pluto). Pluto reflects the fundamental essence of the person. Since Pluto takes over 200 years to complete a rotation around the Sun, and there are 12 signs in the Zodiac, it works out that the Pluto crosses each sign for approximately a generation. The longest that Pluto stays in the sign is close to 30 years (Taurus); the shortest, about 10 years (Scorpio). The generation with a Pluto placement in a sign manifests the character of that sign in their fundamental attitudes and ways of thinking. These take place across cultures and societies. They are manifest to greatest extent in societies where people are not frozen in a traditional time warp but rather are free to invent and shape their times. Thus, it stands to reason that Pluto placements will be seen expressed especially in America - and they are. Pluto in Aries was the generation of Pioneers and Industrialists. It was the generation of "robber barons" and cowboys. Aries - the initiator, the risk-taker, the pioneer - manifested through the entire consciousness of that generation. And the Aries values and attitudes shaped America at the time. Pluto in Taurus was the Victorian generation. Taurus - the sign of social control, material acquisition and rigid mental structure - was the root cause of Victorianism, which combined the above. The long night of Victorianism was due to the length of time that Pluto spends in Taurus. And the Taurus mentality shaped the times. Pluto in Gemini was the flapper generation. Gemini - the sign of quick thought, exploration, fun, and intellectuality - was the root cause of the Edwardian and 1920s era. An age of invention, intellectual revival, partying, relaxed social control, swift economic growth, respect for intelligence, internationalism and great literature and music was the essence of the generation - and the essence of the times when it was in charge. The downside of Gemini - its shallowness and dishonesty - resulted in the flimsiness of the international infrastructure created and led to its collapse. Pluto in Cancer is the World War II generation. Cancer - the sign of family and nation - ruled the world from 1930s through 1950s. The authoritarianism, nationalism, socialism, suffocating traditionalism, and explosive population growth within rigid families were direct result of the Cancer character. These qualities, while they are responsible for winning wars, are responsible likewise for starting them; and while the World War II generation can be credited with winning the Second World War, their authoritarianism and nationalism were also the ground on which it started. Also a result was the 1950s prosperity and family-based society, which was the case of Cancer having fought off the worst manifestation of Cancer (militant racism seeking to conquer the world) and come home to do precisely what it wanted (create family and society). Pluto in Leo is the Baby Boom generation. Leo - the sign of the self, the leader, the drama and the royal attitude - reflected in all of the qualities associated with Baby Boom generation, from their supposed self-obsession and self-absorption, and belief that the world revolves around them, to their charm, individuality, loudness, self-will and passionate embrace of life. Pluto in Virgo is the Gen-X. Virgo - the sign of work, technology, prissiness, mental rigidity, skepticism, pragmatism, false humility and fear of beauty and passion - ruled 1990s, and ran all its movements, from legitimate ones like computer industry and recycling to illegitimate ones like seccessionist movements, genocidal tribalism, social totalitarianism, social hysterias, short-sighted materialism, and femi-fascism and psycho-fascism. A global technological infrastructure was created; then it attempted to engineer out of existence imagination, romance, astrology, beauty, excellence, inspiration and all other things that they deemed illogical or hubristic. Meanwhile their own logic - being nothing but manifestation of their Pluto in Virgo astrological placement - and the unbelievable hubris of seeking to wipe from the face of the earth all the things that ran by different logic than their own without attempting to see their actual logic or value that such can bring - failing that is to look at or respect anything except their astrology-determined approach to life - turned them into abrasive bullies and fascists as well as hypocrites. So to these I say: Eat this, "skeptics." Astrology is the reason you think like you do, and in denying it you are denying insight into the reasons for your approach to life. Pluto in Libra has been referred to as the Pepsi generation. The good traits of LIbra - elegance, principle, emotional sophistication, pursuit of beauty and excellence, and artistic beauty and good taste - along with the bad ones of cliquishness and snobbery and hypocrisy - are manifest in the world now. The Libra cultures such as the Orient are in ascendance. There is a revival of interest in art and literature, and people are pursuing more free and beautiful relationship models than ones we have seen in the 90s. And I, being a Scorpio with Pluto conjunct Venus in Libra, am saying, it's About Time. Ilya Shambat http://ibshambat.blogspot.com |
