Default Energia Corporation's managers met with the group involving the Russian and European journalists.

March 19, 2004. Korolev, Moscow region.

In accordance with the agreement concluded between Rosaviakosmos, S.P.
Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia and European Space Agency (ESA)
on the flight of the ESA's astronaut Andre Kuipers, the Dutch citizen, to
the International Space Station Russian Segment (Delta Project), the
Corporation's managers met with the group involving the Russian and European
journalists.
The meeting was attended by N.I. Zelenschikov, the First Vice-President of
RSC Energia, its First Deputy General Designer, as well as other Deputies
General Designer represented by Yu.I. Grigoriev, N.A. Bryukhanov and A.V.
Markov.
Apart from addressing the current ISS Program efforts issues, including
prelaunch processing of the Soyuz TMA-4 manned spacecraft, the meeting
highlighted reusable, manned space vehicle Clipper being currently developed
at S.P. Korolev RSC Energia, as well as large-scale space antenna under
development, dedicated communication and remote Earth sensing spacecraft
based upon multipurpose space platform Viktoria, whose first flight items
have been in use as part of the Russian communication satellites Yamal-100
(since 1999) and Yamal-2000 (since 2003) and other advanced projects.
The journalists were shown round the workshops for assembly and integrated
tests of the Soyuz manned spacecraft, Progress cargo transport vehicles and
orbital stations modules. On the premises the Corporation's leading
specialists answered the journalists' questions, gave the necessary
clarifications.
The Corporation's Museum made it possible for them to familiarize themselves
with the history of S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia. The
Museum exhibits both the space-proven descent modules of the Vostok manned
spacecraft piloted by Yu.A. Gagarin, V.V. Tereshkova, the Voskhod, Soyuz
spacecraft and the design analogs of the pioneer artificial earth satellite,
the first automatic stations launched to the Moon, Venus, Mars, the pioneer
national communication satellite Molniya, the Salyut orbital station and
other unique exhibits.
The meeting was also attended by the Head of the ESA's Permanent
Representation in Russia Mr. Alain Fournier-Sicr.
The meeting lasted about four hours.
