ASTRO: Messier 33
I took this one late Sunday night/Monday morning. I had some problems with
fogging late, so I wasn't able to use all of the images I had hoped to use for this one. But considering this is my first attempt at this object, it isn't too bad, though it doesn't show the Ha regions very well. About the photo: 7 four-minute exposures at ISO 800, for a total of 28 minutes, one five-minute dark Equipment: Modified Konus 200 f5 Newtonian with Baader coma corrector 80 mm Orion shorty for autoguiding with the starshooter autoguider Losmandy G-11 Gemini Go To on the large Losmandy tripod Hutech Modified Canon T1i with UV Infrared cut astronomy filter (allows transmission of Ha) Taken On Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Taylorsville Lake, Anderson County, Kentucky. Enjoy, George |

Nicely done George. -- Steve Paul |

Thanks, Richard. I wish I had taken more images of M33, but the sky was so
good that night that I couldn't resist taking photos of as many different objects as my computer battery would allow. I plan to take more pictures of fewer objects next time. I may even concentrate on one single object for a change, if things work out like they did for me Sunday.
