Default Fuss over large moon?

A lot of talk in the last couple of days here in the UK over the apparently
large and brown tinged full moon. I'd imagine that this is the famous
illusion due to it being low down, and the funny colour due to the volcanic
ash etc, but its odd that this seems to crop up so much.
so, presumably, from space the moon when its full can be seen in this low
position quite often, do the occupants of the ISS see this illusion as well
or is their height too high to make it noticable.

Brian
