Default David Levy

David uses a, gasp, Meade Schmidt telescope in his supernova and comet
hunts. How does he make this "junk scope" work?? He "coulda had" an
RC ;-)

(1) Actually David discovered his last telescope with a home-made
16" DOB by a fellow Canadian Constantine Papacosmos.

(2) Jarnac Observatory as well as having lots of Meade gear
also has one of the largest RC Optical telescope there is.
A custom 25" F7 RC.

(3) The Meade gear sees plenty of use when David holds public
star parties. I like the refractor and the schmidt camera
is a neat device.

(4) David is an amazing speaker. Period. If he's in your
area, go listen.

(5) David is a dear friend. I talk to him often. He's doing
better. Astronomers are tougher than you think.
