saw that Dan Wenz had written:

That's why I filter out all posts that go to more than three groups.
I honestly don't know why more people don't do the same.

What newsreader do you use that has this option?


It's not a news reader, but a dedicated filtering program that runs in
the background and was apparently designed for news readers that had
no filtering at all. You can filter on virtually any header.

It's called Nfilter, aka News Proxy. I use the older, free, Nfilter
found at http://www.netaxs.com/home/v/nfilter/ I understand it has
since morphed into something far mor complex, called News Proxy.

BTW, I'm using Win XP and Nfilter runs fine.
