Odd request in the mail...
A request arrived in the mail yesterday from some fella in Germany
wanting a signed photo of Vance Brand (astronaut). Somehow, he got the idea that Brand has something to do with my magazine Aerospace Projects Review ("Vance DeVoe Brand c/o Aerospace Projects Review"). Anybody know of *anything* that would lead to that impression? -- Scott Lowther, Engineer Remove the obvious (capitalized) anti-spam gibberish from the reply-to e-mail address |

Anybody know of *anything* that would lead to that impression? [googles on Brand] You ever published anything with Brand's name linked to it - something on the X-30 or something odd out of Dryden? He might have got the impression he'd written something for you... or else assumed there was some kind of Colorado Aerospace Mafia thing going on ;-) -- -Andrew Gray |

Anybody know of *anything* that would lead to that impression? No, but if you forward the request to Vance at Dryden, he'll take care of it. Let me know if you need the address. He shouldn't have posted this, now it'll be online for millions of non-native english speakers to see and misinterpret. Next he'll get fanmail for "DEVO C/O Aerospace Projects Review". |

Well, if they send a SASE, I'll be able to scavenge the stamps and save a fortune... Even better if they jsut send cash... -- Scott Lowther, Engineer Remove the obvious (capitalized) anti-spam gibberish from the reply-to e-mail address |

Very funny, given that the actual back channel to DEVO is via the Mars Society, and how well Scott gets along with Bob... -george william herbert |
