Hi,

I have a very good offer from a seller on this ancestral Newtonian, it
is apparently in mint condition. Anyone can give me an opinion on this
telescope?
thanks for the advice. Never tried a Tak before.

Pascal.

Hi:

I try to keep my eyes open vis-a-vis the equipment scene...and not just
pay attention to my own little "beat," the SCT/MCTs and other compound
scopes. But I didn't know Takahashi had ever produced Newtonians. Can
you expand on this?

Rod,

Do a Google and you will find such as this:

News to me, too!

Here's some photos of most of Takahashi's scopes:

Takahashi has made 100, 130, 200, 250 and 300mm Newtonians. At present
they artecout of production. Now Takahsahi makes hyperbolic astrographs
and Corrected Ricthies.
