Some say that John Diefenbaker got what he deserved :-\ but that's a long story which is quite off-topic for ssh. Since then, the country's been going downhill from there. Well, our federal debt has been going downhill for some time now, if that's what you mean. In the meantime, we're too nice to gloat about our overwhelming success in spaceborne radar remote sensing and space robotics. (I don't have much contact with the latter, but I have a couple of sponsored research projects on the go in the spaceborne SAR field so can speak with a tiny bit of insider perspective.) Our space industry is just glad that we can be of assistance to our US and European clients. -- Dave Michelson |
