Default ASTRO: M-75, Globular Star Cluster in Sagittarius

Image taken with an SBIG STL-1301E camera thru an OGS 20-inch F/8.1 RC Cass.
LRGB exposure of 9:5:5:10 minutes. The field of view is 13x16 arc minutes
with North at the top. The max altitude of this cluster is only about 22
degrees from our location.

The most distant of Messier's clusters and one of the most concentrated of
globulars. The 20 will resolve this cluster visually.

For more info on M-75, see: http://www.kopernik.org/images/archive/m75.htm

George,

great picture for such a southern object. I never even tried to image that
low. I'll have to do it sooner or later though, otherwise I'll never get the
complete Messier catalogue...
