Default On the Day Side the Sun is up for 42 years.

On Uranus--then the other side has the Sun for 42 years. Life will have to slowly migrate from one side of the planet to the other--very icy life--and it is probably intelligent since Uranus has been around so long since anything cataclysmic has happened.

The Mercurians have to complete their journey around their planet is only 176 Earth days. But at least their planet is a lot smaller, so they don't have near as far to go.
