Default Darla's earth probes

Well, maybe not. I was in the backyard cleaning the pool today when I heard
a buzzing sound, and this guy landed literally six inches from me and just
sat there on the end of the twig, watching me. He even let me stick my
camera right in his face to get this pic:

A real nice specimen, and then the thought crossed my mind that perhaps this
is how Darla keeps tabs on us down here - who would look twice at a large
insect? Art Deco would run away screaming for his mommy, and PP would well,
peepee... Only us brave, inquisitive, Elite, science types would notice the
connection.

Also, I'm trying out this photobucket service. Seems a bit slow, and the
free image size is limited to 1024 x 768. Let me know how it downloads for
you, ok?

Odd, I was buzzed by a hummingbird this morning while trying my luck
at the neighborhood creek on Free Fishing Day.

Is this forming a pattern?
