You've been staying up late for M55 and now M12! Nothing but clouds
here. Of course I can't image either of these well from my far north
location. Even though 12 is near the equator it has always been too
fuzzy for a good shot as it stays over the lake. For some reason that's
bad for my seeing. For Big Bear Solar Observatory that's good. I don't
get it. Shortly before ice out as it is melting I do get great seeing
over the water but otherwise I try and avoid it. You have ocean that
way. Works well for those in Florida and the Keys so suspect it helps
you too. Not sure why it does the opposite for me.

Looks like the CI-700 is working well for you. How do you like the QHY8
so far?

Rick

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".

Hi Rick, the mount is working very good, I just need more time with it.
The camera has user adjustable gain and offset controls and it looks
like I need to increase the gain from the looks of the last round of
images. The only clear night for the last two months has been a full
moon night.

Nice picture John. I looks like I have not imaged M12 yet, probably because
it is quite low, where it is difficult to get sharp stars...
