and broadcast some educational TV programs to all us enthralled
students in some wide area.

Years later, I worked in IRL at LeRC and asked what the large dish
on the roof was for. "Nothing" I was told. "But way back then, that's
what uplinked the video to the plane that....."

broadcasting anti-government propaganda to a conservative-dominated U.S.A.:

That's it. I now recall hearing something about DC-6's. Gawd; keeping
one of those up in the air must have required a dedicated fuel pipeline.
