Default 1970's Comets

Does anyone know of a website that will have the names of Comets
visible from the UK in the 1970's

I remember seeing one while waking a girl home on a clear night but I
can't remember its name or the actual year.

I will splt the difference and bet on Comet Kohoutek C/1973 E1
It was fairly bright but overhyped and viewed by many as a dud.

Looked OK in binoculars but not so hot naked eye.

Or as a definitive reference work try:

(by inter library loan)

Comet West is the one. 1976 it was a cold, clear night and no light
pollution. It all comes back to me now. I even remember the girl!
