hundreds,as Godfather wants independents to dig up single tanks,and
replacethem with double tanks. Average cost is $250,000,and they can not
afford it. I called the elderly agency that claims it helps pay
Progress Energy's big electric bills if you are low income. Spoke to
the agency head a Nereida,and she now is saying they will not in most
probability have money in the near future,because of the high Progress
Energy bill and all the poor families needing money to pay their
electric bill. Called P.E. and they assured me any one not paying
their bill will have it shut off. Even if the person has a new born

39F here. Partly cloudy. Daffodils are poking up through the
ground. First sign of coming spring. Today is not only Valentines
Day, but also the 150th anniversary of Oregon's statehood. Oregon's
150th birthday! I can remember well this day 50 years ago when Oregon
turned 100. We lived in a cute small house at the time on a park-like
three acres of land in the country. The front yard was planted full
of daffodils! But the trilliums in the back woodlot were the first to
blossom. What made that night of 2-14-59 memorable was that our power
went out, and we sat by candlelight listening to a battery powered
radio on which they were talking about it being Oregon's 100th
birthday. Oregon put on a world trade fair in Portland that year: The
Oreogon Centennial Exposition. We went several times, and as a kid it
was very impressive to me. Most of the men grew beards to celebrate
that year in 19th century style. And the women would dress up in old
fashioned long dresses and bonnets for local parades. In school we
had to keep scrapbooks of historical newspaper clippings about the
state's history. It all was a lot of fun.

46F here now. Cold east wind came up about 4 AM this morning,
interrupting my sleep on the park bench. Actually the wind was warmer
than the air before as the frost dispersed, but of course it felt
colder, plus it blew away the newspapers with which I was partially
covering myself. There have been a couple of rain showers, but not
while I was outside. Sky remains overcast today. Trays of fried
chicken were on sale Friday. I bought two and all that grease kept my
body pretty warm the last couple nights. Trouble is, it then feels
too warm when I'm inside.

You seem to get some kind of publicity with people calling you.
Perhaps more wouldn't hurt. Do any local papers know you are going
without water as a protest? Perhaps they should. Also well
publicized people are safer, because hit men don't like the spotlight!

100s(that is how people call me on the phone) All news papers know I
have no water. All government agencies as well Three letters to Charlie
Crist,and two to Attorney General Bill MCCollum. All these letters and
all doing nothing to save an 81 year old honest citizen only proves that
Severn Trent Mafia out of the UK is in complete control. They control
the press and all Florida laws. Sheriff "Bob" Hansel they use to

use to literally kill me. Life is not easy for me having a democratic
America that was the first 71 years of my life,and now for the past 10
years I am living in a Fascist America. For me being old,diabetic and
bad heart it might be more merciful for me to be given Cool-Aid than to
die slowly of infection. The new doctor that is treating my infection
with anti-biotic will send a letter to Van Meter,and like the other

46F here and sunny. Was cold and frosty again last night. I know
it's February, but does it really have to freeze every night? Had
company from the Asian lady in the food court last night. Stayed
until 1:30 AM when the night janitor came in to mop and broke up the
slumber party. Feel like I've caught another cold. Seems the library
is so crawling with germs that I can't avoid them even when I don't
use the public keyboards. Tried Safeway again this morning. Wi-Fi
still wasn't working so I started playing chess. While I was so
occupied, a clerk from the store came over and told me Wi-Fi had just
been fixed! I tried it again, and got on the Internet! It's been
offline for about a month! I even called their support line and got
no action out not them. Well, now the nightmare is over, but not
berore I caught another miserable cold at the library!

Bert, maybe you should give up the fight and move back to sunny
California. You could say you moved for your health.
