this came out a little better: more signal, 9 x 10 minutes binned 2x2 from
the Stinger 450 at 5760mm focal length and f/12.6 halpha from baader, pl9K from fli ap1200gto mount |

Gretchen III" wrote in message m... excellent guiding Richard Thanks John The interesting thing to me is that the scope was designed to support a somewhat smaller illuminated circle, so I was expecting serious vignetting. But it worked out great. The guiding is nothing special: a modified Lumicon Giant Easy guider with an ST7E stuck in the guide tube. But I am running at f/12.6 on the 18" and that works out to be about 5760mm focal length. Needless to say it is a bit sensitive to wind. |
