Vision for Space Exploration: t/Space Midterm Architecture Briefing
I just noticed on t/Space's web site that they've released their
December 1 midterm briefing to NASA, as part of their contract to develop a comprehensive plan for the Vision for Space Exploration. That briefing is available he http://transformspace.com/Background.htm http://transformspace.com/documents/...chitecture.pdf For those unfamiliar with t/Space, it's a commercial space company whose team includes people like Burt Rutan, LunaCorp's David Gump, SpaceX's Elon Musk, and Carnegie Mellon's Red Whittaker. Their plan is focused on having NASA help to support a commercial space infrastructure, rather than having the infrastructure be directly managed by the government (as it is today). The presentation also shows t/Space's designs for CEVs and lunar landers, which appear to be heavily influenced by Scaled's composites-centric approach. -- Neil Halelamien |
