Bert, you should not sell M&M lock,stock, and barrel. You should make a deal where you can retain a number of shares of the stock. You should probably talk to another corporate lawyer about what would be considered to be a fair deal.

It's 86F as of 4:30 PM here in Greasham. Beautiful clear blue skies.

I went to get more stuff today out of my locker, including a VCR player. As I road on that cross town train, I kept thinking about Einstein's train. Would my trip on the train extend my life? Would the bag I was lugging back get heavier as the train accelerated? Would the tunnel the train had to go through be shortened? I got back home a little earlier than I expected.. That has to tell you something!

At first I felt a little lost, but then I came upon a spot I clearly remembered. It was where I had gone out there and watched a speech by then President Jimmy Carter in the late 70's. He was the first President I had seen in person! A helicopter brought him in, and Iranian students hiding their faces were demonstrating against the Shaw of Iran.

I finally found the lake that they made by damming up the local creek. I once drove a car across that dam! But if I were to try it now, I would run into a fence. I now must give up any hope of wetting a line in that trout stocked pond, as fishing is now limited to those under 17. Well, that's how I always thought it should be.

I found the basketball court with the dome shaped roof. It is a paraboloid shaped roof which gives an interesting echoic effect at its center. They have wisely covered much of the ceiling with acoustic tile.

There used to be tables and chairs on the east side where students could sit. But now it's all basketball floor. That's were I used to sit and talk with Greta and Susan in those pleasant times.

This were set down every mile along Stark about 150 years ago. Stark led to the Stark St. Ferry, which was the only way to cross the Willamette River back then, before they built the bridges in Portland. The Community College has put up a sign at that corner and surrounded it with rocks and other landscaping. But no sign of the historic mile stone. You would think that the administrators of a college of all people would have some respect for history!

I brought home some rabit ears from my locker the other day. Have a converter box. So soon should have a working television! Funny how people nowadays consider TV to be a necessity. But I survived for 6 years with no access to one!

I listened to the Oregon State Beaver football team lose to Michigan this morning. The played good at first, getting an early touchdown to take the lead, but then the rest of the game they sucked! The Oregon Ducks will play Michigan State this evening.

Yes, it's football season again! And it's just as I remember it. The Ducks are winning, the Beavers losing, and the Patriots cheating!

The latest scandal involves the Patriots jamming the Steelers' radio communications system for coach to quarter back play calling!

The Ducks finally tasted defeat last night. I watched the game with Michigan State in the Big Apple Bar. They struggled valiantly, but just couldn't get that last touchdown to win.

A sunny day here in Gresham with patchy clouds. Now a Freudian 69F with an expected high later of an ideal 72F.

Right now Typhoon Kilo, already the longest-lived tropical cyclone on on Earth so far this year, is blowing our way from Japan, and should be hitting Oregon by Wednesday! Another typhoon so soon?

I hope it doesn't interfere with my luncheon plans with Kin!

Good you finally got some rain. The Jap Emperor must have heard your prayers!

I had a beard the winter before last. First time in my life. I was just so sick and miserable that I couldn't bring myself to shave. Now everything is different, and I feel the glow of health!

Still cool here. 61F as of 1:00 PM PDT. Scattered showers. Expected high only 63F.

Got my television all hooked up with the converter box and rabbit ears last night and got a great picture! Glad to see I can still watch my favorite crime shows on a local channel! Costs me nothing.

Rain stopped at 10am,but I think it might rain when the Sun sets.It did make it a little cooler.I predict it will stay hot till Oct.20 I go with Earth warming up. Been doing some work in getting customers lined up for M&M but still leaving all the $$$$ in. TreBert
