[fitsbits] CRPIX clarification
On Mon 2008-06-16T16:52:34 -0400, William Pence hath writ:
If anyone objects to the use of the phrase "regular lattice structure" in that first sentence (Steve Allen?) then I suggest the way to handle this would be to add a footnote to this phrase, which elaborates or constrains the meaning within this FITS context. I am satisfied with the words as Bill proposed and confident that the discussion archives will serve as additional caveats about over-interpretation of the meaning of "regularity" or even adjacency of the elements in the data array. -- Steve Allen WGS-84 (GPS) UCO/Lick Observatory Natural Sciences II, Room 165 Lat +36.99855 University of California Voice: +1 831 459 3046 Lng -122.06015 Santa Cruz, CA 95064 http://www.ucolick.org/~sla/ Hgt +250 m |
