Yeah, I guess if we send enough people to our new base on
Venus, many of our problems will be solved. We could send the
more adventurous ones to our base on Saturn.

And *that* is why I said the best moon base would be one that is
fully-funded in a way that Congress- who is the only party that can actually
cut funding, Bush doesn't have that authority (and when Nixon refused to
spend money on a program that Congress overrode his veto on, he got slapped
down by the Supremes)- cannot yank back the money.

Meanwhile, over at "NASA Watch", the big question seems to be who can
ground the Shuttle faster- Bush or Kerry?
Kerry apparently wants to ditch it and have done with it; Bush wants to
replace it with something that doesn't yet exist- you know, like peace
in Iraq... ;-)
