Do you think that the images of any celestial body are as large as the poster-sized images supplied by the hubble space telescope? The earth is much largerthan mars and the amount of detail of mars as seen in backyard telescopes is pretty good. Why would you not expect to see more detail of the earth when viewing from mars?
