Why does the sun as appears on Mars looks as if it shines through frosted
glass? Also, can the Mars orbiters camera resolve the bounce prints in the
surface for analysis?

Camera pictures can be misleading, and not look the same as the scene
would look in reality.
There may well be a lot of dust in the atmosphere.

surface for analysis?

Yes, they have plenty of resolution for that.

How can you distinguish between a bounce print and other features ie a
crater? Is there material ejuected with each bounce?

The bounce may have disturbed the surface causing it to change colour,
surface rocks will likely be pushed into the surface, there may also
be a slight depression. The bounce footprint is going to only be a few
pixels even at best resolution so distinguishing these features is
going to be difficult, but I think just about possible.
