ASTRO: M51 LRGB from Backyard in Castro Valley, California
This past weekend I finished my M51 shot, which is the first image that I
took using my new AP67CCD focal reducer on my C14. I used my AO7 and ST10XME for image capture, with Optec LRGB filters and a Finger Lakes filter wheel. Everything was mounted on my AP1200GTO mount. Exposures were 20 minutes unbinned for luminance and 10 minutes binned 2x2 for color data. I took five luminance shots and six through each of the colors for a total exposure time of three hours 40 minutes. http://www.rdcrisp.darkhorizons.org/...alaxy_page.htm |

Especially with the more complex optical train. David Moody |
