Einstein-æther gravity

Can someone acquainted with this please comment or refute it (I'm studying its flaws)? http://arxiv.org/PS_cache/arxiv/pdf/...801.1547v2.pdf "This paper reviews the theory, phenomenology, and observational constraints on the coupling parameters of Einstein-æther gravity, i.e. General Relativity coupled to a dynamical unit timelike vector field. Several new remarks and a discussion of open issues are included." The paper just suggested another Einstein-Hilbert action on top of what Hilbert had pulled out of his ass back in 1915. Recall Hilbert’s Lagrangian to his action was: ** L = sqrt(-det[g]) (k R + rho) Where ** [g] = the matrix representing the metric ** det[] = determinant of the matrix ** k = constant ** R = Ricci scalar ** rho = mass density To this day, why this action is important or what it means is still elusive, but you can now derive the Einstein field equations in just one more step. The whole GR **** is just so fvcking easy. Of course, it does not prevent some other buffoons to create more imaginary (hallucinating) mass Lagrangian term. shrug You can foliage your universes with just a few variations of the mathematics that does not bind to any physical meanings in real life. Even after the field equations are derived, there are always an infinite numbers of solutions that are static, spherically symmetric, and asymptotically flat. There is just no way in hell that you can find boundary conditions to favor one from the others. shrug Connecting Riemann/Ricci tensor to gravitation or spacetime is just a joke. The math is actually very simple in concept despite exhibiting extreme complexity in mechanical operations. Hilbert understood the fallacy of what he had done, walked away from the crap he created, and allowed Einstein the nitwit, the plagiarist, and the liar to claim full credit. The rest is history with hordes of Einstein Dingleberries eagerly to swallow the last drop of the fermented diarrhea of Einstein the nitwit, the plagiarist, and the liar. What a circus for self-styled physicists! shrug |
